yes indeed PEAR butter! This sweet buttery spread is ready in 13 minutes, a wonderful & healthy addition to pancakes, waffles, corn bread or toast.

difficulty level: super easy

yields: slightly less then 1 cup

equipment needed: high powered blender

prep time: 1 minutes

cook time: 12 minutes

what you need:

  • 1 large ripe Bosc pear, peeled cored & cut into pieces

  • 1 stick of vegan butter cut into cubes

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil

  • optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon

what to do:

  • place all ingredients in a sauce pan and cook stirring for 10 minutes over medium heat, if it starts to bubble too much, reduce heat to medium low half way through

  • remove from stove, pour all ingredients into blender

  • whirl away in blender for 1 minutes, scrape down sides and whirl 30 seconds to 1 minutes more.
  • pour into little ramekins or into mason jars and place in fridge

This is DELISH!!! i love spreading this on corn bread & sprinkling some extra cinnamon on top... also i may have actually eaten this with a spoon... emmm yeah dangerous stuff ;)
i love freezing this in an ice cube tray, i store the frozen cubes for over a month in the freezer, taking it out as needed. it stores in the freezer for a month and a half... if it last that long ;)
